After a long day full of excitement the day before, I scheduled a rest day and we spent it on the beach of our hotel and its sister property.
It was a pleasant morning on the beach. The highlight came when Philip found a starfish. And when Matthew fell from his inflatable croc into the hotel pool...:-)

Royal Cancun has a nice little beach that is sheltered by Isla Mujeres from the surf and waves. This makes it quite kids friendly. To get a bit more excitement and also to satisfy my craving for the Iguana at the Royal Sands, we drove over to this sister property to spend an afternoon there.
After having dinner at the Sands, we spent the last evening watching TV. Every night, illuminated corsair sailships would head out to sea for a dinner cruise and later head back to the nearby harbor, providing a spectacle visible straight from our rooms.
