I miss Colorado. Everyone who knows me at least a little bit has heard it from me. Yet I have not been back to Colorado since I had left five years ago. There never seems to be enough time to make the trip worthwhile. But enough was enough, I decided the week after Christmas was finally the time. So I planned a three thousand mile plus road trip through the Southwest with a stop in Colorado. We followed the border with Mexico for a bit to stay out of the cold before turning north to Denver and finishing off with an epic drive of 1300 miles in one day. In the end, we clocked back in at 3,500 miles over eight days. Was it worth it? You bet.
