CU Buffs

The Buffs had a great season last year (2001), capped off by beating Nebraska after oh-so-many years and winning their first Big Twelve title ever. I went to a couple of their games. The photos below are from their game against Missouri that the Buffs won easily 38:24. We did not have very good seats to take photographs, being seated a little too far from the action. I also had a slow speed Velvia in my camera and chose not to rewind it. So most of the shots are at the 400mm long end of my zoom, wide open at f/5.6, and I was pleasantly surprised with their quality as far sharpness is concerned. This really cannot be judged from the small resolution images below, you will have to take my word for it. The photos include running Ralphie, the live buffalo mascot of the team.

Touchdown

A first game I got to see in the 2001-02 season was against San Jose State. It rained all game (and snowed in the foothills, September 8), and the Buffs won handily 51:15.
