Garrapata State Park

Soberanes Canyon Trail starts as a pleasant walk along a creek. As we continued hiking, the vegetation gradually changed from that dotted with prickly pear cacti to a redwood forest sheltered by steep slopes of the canyon on both sides. The trail steepened as we left the canyon to meet up with the Rock Ridge Trail. Coming down the Rock Ridge Trail, there are inspiring views of the surrouding hills, the coast line, and the Pacific. We finished the day watching waves at Point Lobos.
